Heartfelt Summer Wedding in Northeast Ohio

Just before the ceremony, Kayla and Peter exchanged private vows—just the two of them and us quietly behind our cameras. Kayla’s voice was full of emotion as she told Peter that he was the first person who had ever loved her truly for who she was… for who God created her to be. That he made her feel seen and valued. One of her bridesmaids had to sneak her a few tissues, and Sean and I were behind our cameras thinking, this is why we love what we do.

And then the ceremony came, and Kayla could not stop smiling at Peter—from the moment the doors opened and she started down the aisle, she was just lit up. And Peter? You could see him soften and light up right back. They bring out the best in each other, and it was so beautiful to witness. After their joyful recessional and dip kiss, they slipped out of sight of the guests and just melted into each other’s arms. Peter held her so tightly, and they stayed there for a moment, soaking it all in.

Their bridal parties were just as full of joy—Peter’s guys clearly adore him, and Kayla’s girl squad are absolutely her best friends. The speeches were heartfelt and personal, and at one point, one of Kayla’s bridesmaids got so emotional she couldn’t even finish her toast, so another stepped in to read the rest. Everyone laughed and cried together, and it felt like one big family.

During their husband and wife portraits, there was this beautiful calm. They were completely wrapped up in the joy of the day and so excited for everything God has for them in this new season. It was one of those days we’ll always remember—not because of any one moment, but because the whole day was filled with the kind of love that changes you just by being around it.
