There are some wedding days that feel like they belong inside a storybook — and Meghan and Aaron’s wedding at The Beverly Mansion in Marengo, Ohio felt exactly that way.
From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into another place entirely.
With timeless architecture, beautiful stone details, elegant grounds, and charming cobblestone throughout the property, The Beverly Mansion created such an incredible backdrop for their day. There was something about it that felt almost European — refined and romantic while still feeling warm and welcoming.
And somehow, the weather made the day even sweeter. The morning began with dark clouds, rain, and storms rolling through as we drove to the venue. It was one of those mornings where you quietly watch the forecast and hope things shift.
And they did.
By the time Meghan was getting into her dress and we were ready to begin portraits, the skies opened up into the most beautiful afternoon. The rain disappeared, the light softened, and everything felt fresh and peaceful — almost as if the day had been waiting for their celebration to begin.
One of our favorite parts of the day was witnessing Meghan’s first looks. Before seeing Aaron, she shared a first look with her dad that was incredibly sweet and emotional. Then came the moment she finally got to see Aaron.
After spending so much of their relationship medium-long distance, there was something especially meaningful about watching that moment unfold. The nerves and anticipation that had built throughout the morning seemed to melt away the second they wrapped their arms around each other.
It was one of those moments that reminded us why we love first looks so much — not because they take away from the ceremony, but because they create space to slow down, breathe, and truly experience the day together.
After their first look, Meghan and Aaron exchanged private vows and spent time together for portraits around the estate grounds. Those quiet moments felt so fitting for who they are as a couple — grounded, intentional, and simply excited to finally be together.
And can we talk about the details?
Everything was beautifully thought through.
Their florals brought such softness and elegance to the day, and one of our favorite portrait moments was when Meghan and her bridesmaids brought out delicate summer parasols for photos. Combined with the architecture and beautiful surroundings at The Beverly Mansion, the portraits felt timeless, romantic, and dreamy.
Then came their ceremony.
It felt thoughtful and deeply reflective of who Meghan and Aaron are as a couple.
Watching these two finally stand together after years of choosing each other through distance felt incredibly special.
One of our favorite parts was that they intentionally built worship into their ceremony.
At one point, surrounded by all of their family and friends, everyone joined together in worshipping the Lord — and it was such a beautiful moment to witness. There was something especially meaningful about seeing the people who had supported them throughout their relationship now standing alongside them and praising God together as they stepped into marriage.
The ceremony was accompanied by a live string quartet, which added such a timeless and classic feel to the day. Between the music filling the space, the beautiful setting at The Beverly Mansion, and the intentional moments woven throughout the ceremony, the entire experience felt elegant, peaceful, and personal.
And honestly, that felt so fitting for their story.
Meghan and Aaron first met at church camp when they were just 16 and 17 years old. Meghan shared that she first noticed Aaron because she saw him worshipping in the front row and could immediately tell that he loved the Lord.
Over the years, they built a relationship rooted in faith and learned to value the ordinary moments together. For almost their entire relationship, they navigated medium-long distance — which taught them not to overlook everyday life together.
They shared with us that while big adventures are wonderful, some of their favorite things are simply going to the gym, hiking, playing disc golf, country swing dancing, and enjoying everyday moments side by side.
Two years ago, they sat down and intentionally talked through marriage and their future.
At the time, it felt far away.
And then suddenly, their wedding day was here.
What made their celebration feel so special wasn’t just how elegant everything looked — it was knowing what this day represented.
Years of choosing one another.
Years of waiting.
And finally getting to begin this next season together.
We also had the joy of photographing Meghan and Aaron’s engagement session, which made getting to document this next chapter even more meaningful. From their engagement photos to their wedding day, it has been such a gift getting to watch this season unfold and celebrate alongside them. Meghan and Aaron — thank you for trusting us with these memories. Your wedding day felt elegant and joyful, but more than anything, it felt intentional. You truly are better together.
We are so excited for all the ordinary moments ahead — building a home together, everyday routines, spontaneous adventures, country swing dancing, and finally getting to do life side by side.
What a beautiful beginning this is.
