When we walked up to Rachael’s getting-ready suite that morning, it felt just like a reunion we’d been so excited for. We’d spent so much time with these two last year during their engagement session in downtown Huntsville that seeing them again felt like being back with family. Rachael was in her matching pajamas with her girls, laughing as she got ready, and she just had that unmistakable glow — the kind you only get when you’re marrying your best friend in just a few hours.

Being back in Huntsville for their wedding felt extra special for us, too. We started our marriage in Nashville, then spent almost two years living in Huntsville before recently moving to Dayton — where Julia grew up. So every time we come back for our Alabama and Tennessee couples, it feels like a little piece of our own love story is waiting for us here.

And what a homecoming this day was. From the second Rachael and Jonathan became husband and wife, they were absolutely inseparable. Stuck together like glue in the sweetest way. They laughed their way through every portrait, and at one point Jonathan whispered something in Rachael’s ear that had her giggling so hard she couldn’t stop. That’s the thing about them — their joy is effortless, the kind you can’t help but catch when you’re around them.

The Hampton Cove wedding venue made the most beautiful backdrop for their celebration. We all piled into a golf cart — shoulder to shoulder, laughing the whole way — and bumped down the path out to the hills. Rachael and Jonathan held tight to each other, grinning from ear to ear, and it honestly felt like one of those pinch-me moments. Just married, soaking it all in, with the prettiest views stretching out around them. It’s those little, in-between memories that make wedding days so unforgettable.

The day ended in the most perfect way: a private last dance with just the two of them in the reception space before heading outside for their sparkler sendoff. Guests cheered, sparklers lit the night, and then — right before they climbed into their car — Rachael and Jonathan ran back over to us. They wrapped us in the biggest hugs, told us they loved us, and then drove off into the night. It was the sweetest reminder that this isn’t just about taking photos. It’s about walking through one of the best days of someone’s life with them — and finishing the night as friends.

Rachael and Jonathan — what an honor it was to stand by your side on this day. You are two of the kindest, most genuine people, and it was such a joy to laugh with you, celebrate with you, and watch you step into the gift of marriage. From your engagement session to your sparkler exit, we’ve loved every minute of this journey with you — and we couldn’t be more excited for all that’s ahead in your new adventure as husband and wife.
