Fletcher stood at the front of The Wellspring’s elegant reception hall, microphone in hand, looking out at every loved one, friend, and family member gathered around tables glowing with candlelight. Moments before dinner, he began to speak — his voice steady but full of emotion, his whole face radiating joy. He thanked everyone for being there to celebrate their marriage, then said something we will never forget: as wonderful as this celebration was, it wasn’t the most important one.

The truest wedding feast, he shared, will be in Heaven one day. With that same radiant joy, he told each guest that he wanted to see them there. If anyone had not yet accepted Jesus, he invited them to talk to him, a member of the bridal party, or their family. He then opened his Bible to one of our favorite verses at the very end — Revelation 22:17:

The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.

It was powerful. It was deeply personal. And it perfectly summed up Miki and Fletcher’s entire wedding day — every single moment pointing to Jesus, not themselves.

From the second we arrived, Miki greeted us with the biggest hug and brightest smile, like we were old friends reuniting after years apart. We’d just photographed their Dayton engagement session in April (see more here!), so it truly felt like a joyful reunion. Even on her wedding day, she took the time to ask about us, how we’d been doing, and how our baby girl was — that’s just who she is.

Her getting-ready suite was filled with worship music and joyful dancing with her bridesmaids, laughter spilling out into the hall. We could hear the worship songs echoing through the venue as we photographed their details and captured those sweet getting-ready moments.

Fletcher greeted us the same way — with a big hug and genuine joy. Even before the ceremony began, he was already emotional, just thinking about the gift of having Miki as his wife.

The way they love each other is a living picture of Scripture. Fletcher holds Miki with such care, respect, and encouragement — just as Ephesians 5:33 calls husbands to love their wives as themselves. Miki honors and respects Fletcher as the man of God he was created to be, cheering him on in his walk with the Lord.

In his vows, Fletcher shared that what made him fall in love with Miki was how she embodies Jesus — how she models Isaiah 66:2 with her humility and love for God’s Word. He said the way she runs after Jesus above all else is what first drew him to her, and what still makes him fall for her every single day.

Their ceremony was more than a wedding — it was a worship service. Friends and family joined them in singing praises to the Lord, voices filling the air with songs like In Christ Alone and Phil Wickham’s Reason I Sing (which happens to be one of our favorites, too!). It was exactly what they’d prayed for — a glimpse of Revelation 7:9, “every tribe, tongue, and nation” gathered to worship the Lord together.

Even their friends noticed. During the toasts, one of Fletcher’s groomsmen said it perfectly: “They didn’t make a single moment today about themselves.” It was true. From start to finish, every detail reflected their desire to point people to Jesus.

Miki and Fletcher — we love you two so much. Your joy, your love, and your pure hearts for the Lord are a light to everyone around you. Photographing your wedding wasn’t just about capturing a day, it was about witnessing a living testimony of God’s love through your marriage.

We left The Wellspring with full hearts, knowing this is only the very beginning of the incredible story He is writing through your lives. We’ll be cheering you on always — and yes, jamming to Phil Wickham right alongside you.
