His hands shook just a little as he opened the small vow book in front of him. A single tear ran down her cheek. His voice caught — not from nerves, but from deep, wholehearted love for the woman standing before him. On the very same timeless white chapel steps of The Upton House where Sam had dropped to one knee a year earlier, he now read his vows aloud to Brooklyn. She stood before him, radiant in her gown, as the soft Alabama sunlight danced across the white chapel walls. Their private vow exchange felt sacred and intimate — just the two of them, pausing between laughter and tears, reminding us what it means to find someone who brings out the best in you and loves every part in return. That full-circle moment held the promise of forever.
From the first look to the send-off, their day was a beautiful blend of elegance and joy.
We began on the sweeping stone steps of The Upton House, where Brooklyn and Sam shared their first look. The light was perfect — soft, clean, golden. Sam’s face lit up when he turned — that moment of seeing your person before the world does is always something special. From there, they walked hand in hand down the beautiful white path lined with lush greenery toward the little chapel where so much of their story had already begun. That same chapel had held their proposal, and now it held their vows.
Watching Brooklyn and Sam pour their hearts into the words they’d written for each other was one of those moments that stays with you. They paused, smiled through tears, squeezed hands, and wiped cheeks. The sound of their soft laughter mixed with happy tears was the most beautiful thing to witness. Later, as Brooklyn walked down the aisle, Sam couldn’t hold back one final tear — the kind that comes when you realize the person you adore is about to become your spouse. Everything about The Upton House — the architecture, the greenery, the light — felt like it was part of their story, not just a backdrop.
And the day itself? It was full of warmth. We cheered them on, fluffed her veil, straightened his lapel, and captured the kind of joy that fills a room. Because we didn’t just witness a wedding — we celebrated it, right alongside them. Having first met them during their Downtown Huntsville engagement session (see more here!), we’d already seen how connected they are: playful, grounded, deeply in love. Celebrating alongside them from their engagement session to their wedding felt like watching two chapters of the same beautiful story come together.
Brooklyn & Sam — thank you for inviting us into this chapter of your story. The place where you began, the place where you said “yes,” and now the place where you said “I do” felt incredibly meaningful. Your day at The Upton House was timeless, elegant, and joy-filled — everything you two are together. We are so honored to have walked beside you, camera in hand, celebrating your love, your laughter, and your forever.
Here’s to all the chapters ahead — may this one always feel like the place you came home to. We can’t wait to see how your story continues to unfold.
