Brooklyn and Sam’s love story began in one of the most everyday places—but the kind that feels anything but ordinary when God is writing it. She’s a nurse. He’s a firefighter. And when their paths crossed in the hospital, something sparked. What started as casual moments during busy shifts slowly turned into a sweet connection... and now, here they are—planning a future together.
We’d been looking forward to this session ever since our Zoom call with Brooklyn and Sam months ago—and meeting them in person didn’t disappoint. They showed up with the biggest smiles, gave the best hugs, and within minutes, we were already laughing like old friends. It’s the kind of session that reminds you why you love what you do: two people crazy about each other, soaking in every second of this season before they say "I do."
We started their engagement session near the First National Bank in Downtown Huntsville and wandered through some of our favorite nearby spots, making our way toward Big Spring Park. The city was calm and quiet that morning, and the early spring greenery made such a peaceful backdrop for their engagement session. There’s something timeless about Downtown Huntsville that we just love—and Brooklyn and Sam brought it to life with their sweet spirits.
One of our favorite things we’ve learned about these two is how intentional they are with their time together. With full-time jobs in fast-paced careers, they’ve learned to slow down, cherish the small things, and make room for adventure—whether that’s traveling to new places or building their life right at home. Literally! They’re custom building their first house together, and it’s set to be finished just in time for their wedding day. We can only imagine how meaningful that will be—to come home as newlyweds to a space they dreamed up and built from the ground up.
