The morning of Hannah and Drew’s engagement session at Magnolia Estate in Miamisburg, Ohio felt joyful from the very beginning.
The soft morning light covered the property beautifully, and everywhere we turned felt timeless and elegant. Between the quiet countryside views, the stunning white estate, and the way these two looked at each other the entire session, every part of the morning felt incredibly meaningful to capture.
One of our favorite parts of the morning was getting to hear more of their story.
Hannah and Drew met while serving as camp counselors at Scioto Hills, and hearing them talk about that season together was so special. They are both students at Cedarville University, and you could tell how much they value building a relationship centered on faith and serving the Lord side by side. Listening to them tell the story made it so easy to picture it all unfolding. There was something so genuine and grounded about the way they talked about those early days together.
At one point, Hannah shared that only about six months into dating, she already knew Drew was the one because of his steadfastness, contentment, and faith. And after spending the morning with them, it was easy to see exactly what she meant. The way they interact together feels calm, joyful, and deeply intentional. They are the kind of couple that makes being around them feel easy.
And Drew’s proposal could not have been sweeter.
Hannah thought it was just a normal bonfire night with family in her backyard, completely unaware that Drew had secretly returned from traveling that weekend to surprise her. When she walked down by the pond and saw him waiting there, he proposed right by the fire. Truly the sweetest surprise.
